Selective desaturation is an effective technique to help emphasis part of the image, to make the subject or its surroundings stand out. In this contest you are to take an image, desaturate part of it, and leave part of it in colour.

outstanding !! It musta took a long time to erase the greyscale layer off with a teeny tiny brush, egh ? If that's how ya did it. High score and GL.

Yes it did. I had to use my Pxleyes and the very smallest eraser tool to get those tiny twigs. But when the temperature is almost zero degrees outside, you have a lot of time on your hands. That, and a stubborn headed determination can accomplish almost anything!
Well, I must say, you done quite well indeed. I woulda lost patience after one twig and woulda uprooted the whole tree.
Wow! Two positive comments from Meatman in one day. Sometimes stubborness can payoff.
