We start Easter on Sunday with mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures will be comfortable for the afternoon Easter egg hunts in the low 60s. By the evening, rain and thunderstorms develop with a few strong storms possible. The Storm Prediction Center has a Marginal Risk (level 1 out of 5) over Central Ohio on Sunday. Storms will be capable of producing hail and gusty winds.

Rain showers and thunderstorms continue into Monday as the low-pressure system tracks through the Plains. It remains wet and stormy into Tuesday as the low tracks through the Midwest. A low-end risk for severe weather is possible for Monday and Tuesday with the main threat being hail and gusty winds.

Rain lingers into Wednesday and Thursday as the low lifts into the Great Lakes region. Temperatures will trend cooler in the upper 40s. Depending on temperatures, some snow may try to mix in during the morning hours. Rainfall amounts will range from 1-3” across the area from these waves of rain showers and thunderstorms.

We eventually dry out on Friday. Average highs by the end of April are in the upper 60s.
