The exhibition Ecosystem of Colors opens on Saturday 3 September at 4 p.m.  at Kjarvalsstaðir Reykjavík Art Museum. The works in this exhibition explore the desire to find one’s place in the world, a place of one’s own. The exhibition assembles dyed silk fabrics that hang from the ceiling along with woven wall pieces. Hildur has collected plants from Icelandic flora, extracted colors from the plants and dyed the fabrics and the threads with these colors. All the works in the exhibition are specific to a certain place and time.

Curator is Ólöf Kristín Sigurðardóttir.

Sunday 4 September at 1 p.m. the artist and curator take visitors through the exhibition.
