Calling all chocolate lovers, as Nestlé has just announced that it will be launching a brand new flavour for its iconic Aero bar.

First launched in 1935, the chocolate bar originated in a peppermint flavour but has since been expanded into mint, chocolate orange and caramel, to name a few. Now there is another flavour set to join the line-up and fans can't wait to get their hands on it.

The beloved confectionary giant has confirmed that it now plans to launch the Aero Chocolate Hazelnut flavour. While no date has been confirmed, it is set to land in Iceland and The Food Warehouse Stores sometime soon.

As reported by The Mirror, a photo of the Nestlé product was shared on social media by UK Newest Foods, who posted it on both Instagram and Facebook. The caption reads: "NEW Aero Choco Hazelnut. Coming soon to Iceland and The Food Warehouse, may be out already in some stores."

Numerous chocolate fans were quick to flock to the post to rave about the new flavour, with one replying: "It's a need, not a want!".

A second excited fan wrote: "Need to find!"

And a third eager shopper said: "This looks amazing."

While currently listed as "unavailable" on the Iceland website, a description for the new flavour reads: "Enjoy the light yet indulgent flavour of Hazelnut in a chocolate bar with its unique bubbly aerated centre that melts in your mouth.

"This sharing bar is made of nothing but our famous bubbly chocolate. Enjoy every bubbly piece together when you spend time with the family, or indulge with friends when you’re catching up. Break a piece off and feel it melt on your tongue as every single bubble is released, and revel in the pleasure of smooth chocolate."

News of the latest addition to the Aero family is sure to delight fans after Nestlé upset a few fans by discontinuing its iconic Caramac bar in November last year. The beloved carmel-based chocolate bar had been on shelves since 1959 but was axed due to "low sales."

It wasn't the only childhood favourite to have been axed, as the Animal Bar was also pulled following a decline in sales last year. Mainly aimed at children, the bar usually contained a game inside the wrapper and featured two animals moulded into the chocolate.
