I bought the LG BL40 in January after seeing the type with my cousin's -in-law. The phone has a unique look, just like a flat diary. It looks funky and smart. Although it often go dark often when it is engaged, which do not particulalry happen on other phone. I supposed you have to literally switch the auto lock off to ensure the phone light remains on while being engaged. There are numerous features on the phone but it has no infra red, which is a shame. It has all the gadgets contained in other top of the range modern touch screen phones. I will recommend the phone to anybody who prefer touch screen to conventional key padded type phones. The phone battery do not last as long as depicted in the advertisement. I will definitely not buy this type of phone again.
This is a great phone, the battery lasts about 48hrs with reasonable use, it hasn't fallen apart, I got it from hong kong for about £189 pounds, it came within two days, including by proper courier like Fed Ex. Over here it was about £400 - 450. It has all correct software. I find the phone ok to use. I seem to change them yearly, maybe I get fed up with them. I had a Vertu Ascent, for about 2 years which cost shedloads, about £2k+, but was simple for me to use, After that I got a motorola Aura, about £1400, I struggled a bit with that one, but probably dead easy to use by younger people. They are all very different phones, but all great. I am a dinossaur, when it comes to phones, I am 57 years old, and get about one text message a year, as all people my age, that I know can't text, so we just call each other. I have bought this phone because I have learned from the Internet, it is one of the best phones 2010. I use LG BL40 one month and my opinion, this phone is not so good. The battery too weak, I should charge it every day. Phone thinks very slowly and it has too big size. I would not buy it once again.
This phone was a desired gift for my daughter. She dreamt of it since then when for the first time has found its description in the Internet. Phone amazes with the possibilities and the appearance. Phone has more than advantages, than lacks. Definitely, this phone has gone right to company LG
