Just days ago, the usually pale-blond British pop star was on Instagram showing off a new set of bangs clipped by celebrity hairstylist Chris McMillan (above). But it looks like she wanted to make a much bigger hair statement at tonight's 2015 MTV European Music Awards in Milan. Bangs pushed aside, she showed up wearing a shocking new bright-yellow hair color. Styled smooth and glamorous for the red carpet, the shade appeared almost mustard-color. Onstage as she performed her hit "Love Me Like You Do" with her hair pulled back into a messy pony, the new yellow took on an almost glow-in-the-dark, neon quality. Total highlighter hair.
Here we thought we'd seen every rainbow hair color shade under the sun—Goulding actually managed to surprise us with this one. Dare we say we've never seen this exact shade on a celebrity before? Let's see how long this not-so-mellow yellow lasts, though; we're guessing this might have been a one-night experiment.
