Ellie Goulding's voice literally gives us chills (and nothing makes us run faster than this mashup of hers with Lil Wayne), but we're particularly fawning over the way she looked while out and about in London last night.

The low-key beauty isn't know for wearing tons of makeup, but somehow she always looks perfectly polished. How? Well, she's a total knockout. (Oh genetics.) But more often the not, the star is also rocking a half-strip of false lashes to help open up and define her eyes. DIY for everyday (withoutlooking like you're walk-of-shaming) by mastering this quick how-to.

Start by lightly lining lids with a deep brown pencil liner -- it'll help the faux lashes blend better with your natural lashes. Add a light layer of volumizing mascara (try Smashbox Full Exposure Waterproof Mascara, $20). Then, pick up strip lashes that are longer on the outer edges than the inner edges like the Ardell Curvey Lashes, $3, as that's how your natural lashes are. Snip the falsies so the outer third of the strip fits the outer third of your lids (try saying that five times fast), then dot a clear glue along the base of one set of lashes.

Let the glue sit for about 5 seconds until it's tacky -- but not dry -- then place the strip on the outer third of your natural lashline and use the back-end of a pair of tweezers to press the strip in place. (You can also use this new Sephora Bulls Eye Lash Applicator, which supposedly makes it a little easier, but I can't actually vouch for it quite yet.)

Hold them in place for about third seconds, repeat on the other side, then curl both lashes so they blend with your natural fringe. You are so faux real, babe.
