Tattoo lovers are getting inkings on their PALMS in a painful new body art trend

BRAVE tattoo-fans have plucked up the courage to get inkings on one of the most painful places imaginable: the palms of their hands.

The tattoo trend has caused a stir over on Instagram, where ink-lovers have been sharing wince-inducing photos of their palm tattoos.

Everyone knows that tattoos really hurt at the best of times, but the palms of your hands are going to be far more sensitive to the needle than most places.

The ink is also likely to fade a little faster, since the skin on your palms grows quicker than it does elsewhere.

But that's clearly not enough to put everyone off, with the painful trend taking off among tattoo fans despite the drawbacks.

Some of these snaps show delicate heart or diamond designs, while other tattoo fanatics have opted for bigger, bolder styles.

A few have even gone all out with huge designs which take up almost the entire palm.

All these tatts have one thing in common though: they must have hurt.
