Description: Hairpin lace crochet is the perfect answer when you need a quick gift that looks classy! This crochet technique, using a loom, can create beautiful pieces of work both large and small. By the end of this class you’ll have learned this technique, in addition to being well on your way to finishing a scarf.

Skills Covered: Students will learn how to work a variety of hairpin lace stitches and how to join them together

Time: 3 hour class

Skill Level: Intermediate – students should know how to chain, slip stitch, single crochet and double crochet. They should be able to read a pattern.

Homework: please acquire pattern, yarn, and loom before class.

Students should bring: lockable stitch markers, worsted weight yarn, approx. 250 yrds, One Salt Sea (link: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/one-salt-sea), size F or G crochet hook.  Note: we will be working a variation of the pattern in worsted weight yarn for the class.
