The Holy Spirit and Power contains ten Spirit-empowered, original sermons of John Wesley from John Wesley's "Standard Sermons," parts of John Wesley's testimony, material from The Journal of the Rev.

In it, he describes the evolution of his own theological reasoning, telling the story of how he came to understand and preach this doctrine in his own life.
