Pretty Good

Though the skeins are rather small, they're also fairly cheap and rather affordable. Parfait Chunky is very plush and soft, but it does have a tendency of shedding and can get everywhere. Sometimes it sheds enough that it strips the fuzz all the way down to the center, so you have to cut it off and work from there. It can be very difficult to make magic rings to work on Amigurumi and in some cases, the stitches can be pretty hard to see. It's for that reason I wouldn't recommend this for beginners--practice with a less fuzzy type of yarn until you're familiar working with the stitches.

There's some really good color variety, even if some colors look incredibly similar in person (Yellow and Sunshine look almost indistinguishable to me). Some of the preview pictures aren't entirely accurate to what you will receive. Ballet Pink, for example, is a much darker shade of pink than the preview pictures shown when purchasing.

Some skeins of yarn have center bits that stick out, so you have to trim those down. Same applies for the fuzziness. It's negligible and I don't think that it compromises the project all that much. It's hard to find the center pull, so you'll more often than not have to wrestle with taking out yarn vomit and working from there if that's your preference. However, once you find the center pull, it's pretty easy to work with and doesn't tend to get tangled in itself unless you forgot to take out the end tucked into the other side.

Sometimes you will find some skeins that have more slugs in them. It can be difficult to work and is likely to affect how your final product comes out. I haven't had much issue with them other than some minor annoyance in how it feels on my fingers and on my hook, but it is something to consider. Usually, though--in my experience--the yarn is fairly consistent. I wonder if this is more likely in certain colors as opposed to others due to how the dye interacts with the polyester. It might also be why some colors feel softer and more plush as opposed to others when working with it.

It's not a perfect yarn, but right now, it's affordable and buying in bulk lets you get free shipping. There's a lot of options that you can do with this yarn. It's currently my go-to for amigurumi (most of my projects have been made in this yarn), and I'm considering using it to make a bag and some other things in the future.
I have a Like/Dislike relationship with this yarn...

Premier Parfait Chunky yarn is soft, reasonably priced, and comes in multiple color choices. However, its biggest downfall is its durability. I bought over 10 skeins, all in a different color, and most of them do not handle even the tiniest tug on the yarn. The chenille falls off the small interior string it is wrapped around and you're left with bare spots. It's even worse when you need to use it on a needle. Some skeins are more worse than other skeins. I worry about washing my finished projects because I'm not sure they would handle even being handwashed. I have another brand of yarn that is exactly like this brand that holds up to use and projects much better, but has way less colors to choose from. Even though this line of Premier has multiple colors to choose from, I don't think it would be worth the price to have your end project fall apart so easily. I was quite disappointed in the quality of the product. (I didn't just handle the skeins; I have made many of the same small amigurumi toy using all the skeins of Premier Parfait Chunky I purchased. This use of the yarn over a long period of time has led to my decision about the quality of this yarn.). Bottom line: pros- multiple colors, soft product, not too thick to make smaller projects with, reasonably priced; cons- poor quality of yarn, falls apart easily, can be difficult to work with because of poor quality. I would stand behind this yarn 100% IF the quality of the yarn was improved. Until then, 3 stars is all I think this product deserves.
Love this stuff!!

I love love this yarn, I really enjoyed working with it for the first time, and I’m happy with my purchase!!
Pros:

- SO SOFT!! this has to be one of the softest chunky yarns Ive used!
-fairly easy to use, after you get the magic ring going, this yarn is a dream to work with!
- It’s a bang for your buck!

Only problems I found when working with it were:
-its hard to pull the magic ring closed at first. It’s easier to use acrylic yarn as the mr base.
- while sewing on pieces, the yarn tends to break and separate, when in the middle of sewing, sometimes the yarn with separate, so you have to cut another piece of yarn to complete whatever your sewing.
-not a problem, but I expected the yarn to be a bit thicker, ofc not a problem, but it doesn’t feel like a size 6 to me.
But other than that, I highly recommend you purchase this product!
Colors and hook used: teddy bear, emerald, mustard, and toffe (and black acrylic for the details). I used a 4.5mm crochet hook.
Nice Yarn With Some Inconsistencies

Parfait Chunky works great for my amigurumi/plushie projects. For the most part, I love how soft the yarn feels. When it's a good skein, it glides across your hook like magic.

Some cons are that it sheds while you're working, but I feel this is worth dealing with because of how soft the yarn feels. If you're used to acrylic yarn, you may have a harder time counting the stitches. Feeling the stitches helps me see them better. Another tricky thing is making magic rings, but using the chain 2 method is a good way to get around it.

Unfortunately, in my last order, the Ballet Pink and Cream yarn felt a little more stiff. It's still soft, but it does not glide across the hook as easily. I'm not sure if Premier is changing the yarn or if these two may have been bad batches. Time will tell.
