No Gimmick Tires
Mattˇ Review provided by michelinman.com ˇ May 1, 2023
I originally bought the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ with a wheel and tire package in 2016. Those tires were very impressive and held up well. When I had to get new tires, the Pilot Sport A/S 4's were a no-brainer. I've had a while to give them a full and honest review.

In dry conditions these tires perform just as well as any summer tire on the market. There is no lack of grip in cornering and little to no road noise depending on the condition of the road.

In wet rain conditions these tires grip the road very well and keep the car grounded through corners.

In snow conditions the tires do pretty well, depending how much snow. I have had some traction issues in over two inches of new snow. Obviously in these conditions, you use your best judgement and use an abundance of caution and maybe even opt for a winter tire if conditions call for it. Overall they perform well in cold conditions up to -10 below. I've never had a traction issue on cold dry roadways using these tires. Ice and snow may bring a little bit of traction issues from a dead stop, but once you are up to speed you will have enough grip to make it home.

After close to two years of driving with roughy 30-45k highway miles (and not always following the reccomended tire rotation intervals) all tires are at a 7/32 tread depth and still have plenty of life left.

Someone may look at the overall price point and opt for a cheaper tire option, I wouldn't call it the most "economical" option. In terms of "you get what you pay for" these are worth every penny. There's a reason you see plenty of performance manufacturers putting Pilot Sports on from the factory. It's not a gimmick. These tires will last much longer than other brands, and will continue to deliver the performance and safety you expect from a brand like Michelin.
Good Handling. Terrible wear and Wasted of Money
Avoid Pilot 4sˇ Review provided by michelinman.com ˇ August 21, 2024
Good Handling but ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE WEAR. I owned Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 Plus and those tires lasted several years hitting 45k without issue.

Assuming this upgraded tore wpuld performan equally well or better, I gave the Michelin Pilot Sport 4s All season a chance. WHAT A MISTAKE!!! These tires use a different compound and JUNK.

The Michelin Pilot Sport 4s All season start at 10/32nd and by 19,000 miles all four tires sit at 6/32 heading to 5/32nds. 800 Dollars on tires WASTED.

I'll be lucky to see 30k out of this tire rated for 45k. Issue isn't my car. Wheels Aligned regularly and tires balanced every 6 to 8k.

Save your money. Don't make the same mistake I did. Michelin claims running these to 2/32nds is fine. No thanks. At tail end of 4/32nds I replace for safety.
Summer tires replaced with Pilot Sport A/S 4’s
SB Torontoˇ Review provided by michelinman.com ˇ October 20, 2023
I was faced with the need to replace my summer tires and did not want the expense of also purchasing winter tires. As my Panamera has all wheel drive, I decided to try a set of all-season tires, although I was sceptical I could do so without giving up significant performance aspects of my summer tires. As luck would have it, I recently met with a friend who had purchased a new Vette and I was shocked to learn that his car came off the lot with the Michelin A/S 4’s as OEM. That was enough for me, so I purchased a set for the Porsche. Well, my concerns over losing handling and driving capabilities quickly dissipated as I would challenge anyone to identify any reduction in performance over summer tires in daily driving conditions. I suspect that if you tracked your car, summer tires would be preferred, however, for me, these tires are exactly what I was hoping for. They provide exceptional grip on both dry and wet surfaces, stability is impressive at highway speeds and road noise is negligible. I have been pleasantly surprised at just how good these tires are and feel that I have given nothing up in terms of driving experience, moving from summer tires. The jury is still out on their winter driving characteristics, however, freezing temps and the white stuff aren’t far off.
The Perfect All Season Performance Road Tire
naumancˇ Review provided by michelinman.com ˇ October 25, 2024
Replaced the old Stock Pilot Super Sports on my ‘19 Z06 Convert with a fresh set of Pilot Sport A/S 4’s. Absolutely love them. Pilot Sport A/S 4’s are rated for hot and cold ambients, dry, rain, and even snow. The perfect tire for northern state roads and highways. The Ackerman effect with tight turns, hydroplaning on rainy roads and pebble showers on the bottom of the car common with Pilot Super Sports is gone. The A/S 4’a are definitely quieter than the Pilot Super Sports. The A/S 4’s may have a bit less traction on hot dry track days but I’ll never miss it. I’d much rather have the extended driving season with the A/S 4’s . Thank you Michelin!
